Plot summary
Talos Corporation runs a research facility in New Jersey, where scientists work on alien tissue supplied by the United States government. Dr. Michael Foster and Dr. Nancy Kane splice DNA from that tissue into laboratory animals, and the animals mutate and become violent. Foster keeps a creature he calls Spot and grows the alien genes inside it. A bite from Spot infects him with the DNA, and the creature gets loose in the building. Kane and Dr. Elliot Stein hunt for a way to reverse the infection in the weeks that follow. Talos executive Dr. Viallini does not want the police or the public involved in the secret experiment.
