Plot summary
Rodney Bingenheimer arrives on the Sunset Strip in the 1960s, in the middle of its psychedelic era. For more than two decades he has been a fixture in the Los Angeles scene, working as a rock fan, a journalist, a promoter, a club owner and a radio DJ. At KROQ, where he is known as Rodney on the ROQ, he has backed the adventurous mutations of rock as they arrived: California pop, glam and punk, goth, new wave and alternative music. The documentary looks at his life and at the history of fame around him, through eras that run from the Monkees to Coldplay.
