Plot summary
Diane Torr is a gender activist and performance artist whose workshops and appearances have carried her around the world over three decades. Her work examines gender identity as a matter of theory, of art and of daily practice. A session in Berlin brings a group of women together to look into masculinity. They ask what turns a person into a man or a woman, and when and where gender identity is formed. Nature and nurture are part of the question. Each workshop is an open experiment in how people behave socially, asking whether anyone can deliberately play out different roles and open a space that crosses masculine and feminine lines.
