Plot summary
Lorna and Jim have been married a year. Jim spends his days at a salt mine and his evenings studying toward a Certified Public Accountant license, and Lorna is left sexually unsatisfied. She swims naked in the river, where an escaped convict forces himself on her. The encounter stirs the desire she has kept down. While Jim is at the mine, she brings the stranger into the house they share.

- Russ Meyer first offered the lead in Lorna to Maria Andre, who had appeared in his earlier Heavenly Bodies!, but moved on because he was unhappy with her breast size; his wife and business partner Eve then found Barbara Ann Popejoy, who was cast while Andre was paid off.
- Meyer renamed Barbara Ann Popejoy to "Lorna Maitland" for the film, and she was pregnant during the shoot.
- Lorna was prosecuted for obscenity in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Florida, but still became a major success at drive-in and downtown theaters and even played art-house cinemas.
- Lorna was the first of three films Meyer made with Lorna Maitland, the most expensive he had made to date despite its low budget, and his first film shot in 35 mm.
