Plot summary
In a fire house, a fireman sees a vision of a woman and child in danger. A New York fire alarm box is seen, and the alarm rouses the men from their beds in the sleeping quarters. They leave the engine house with the horse-drawn pumper, the apparatus rolling out behind the department's trained horses. The company sets off for the fire and arrives at the burning house, where they face flame and smoke.
