Plot summary
Four older people live in a hillside village. Kim Man-seok rides a battered motorcycle on his dawn milk round and wakes the neighborhood with the noise. He keeps running into Song Ee-peun, who roams the town at daybreak gathering scrap paper with her handcart, and feelings slowly grow between them. She parks the cart at a junkyard beside a parking lot, where Jang Kun-bong works as caretaker from morning until late at night. When Kun-bong oversleeps and forgets to lock his door, he asks her to fasten it. His wife Soon-yi has Alzheimer's and drifts through the town; she climbs onto the back of Man-seok's motorbike.
