Plot summary
Seven cats share the streets of Istanbul with the people who live there. Sarı, Duman, Bengü, Aslan Parçası, Gamsız, Psikopat and Deniz are strays; some keep to themselves and others rely on the residents who feed them and look after them. The camera stays close to the animals, carried on a rig built to film at street level, and the people who share their streets describe what the cats mean in their lives. To keep following cats that cross from public streets onto private property, the filmmakers worked with local residents. They began with thirty-five candidates, filmed nineteen, and chose the seven that appear.
