Plot summary
Kenji is a karate master who keeps to himself. When his little sister Mayumi disappears in Los Angeles without any explanation, he searches the city for her. The clues he can find are faint and few, and they point away from California, to Hooper, a small town in Texas. There he comes up against Capital Messiah, a cult that streams violent content for the dark web. The one person who might help him is Keiko, who carries a shotgun and is the only person ever to have escaped Capital Messiah. She knows the group from the inside, and she joins him.
