Plot summary
Babies with monstrous faces are being born across the country, and Frank Davis, still grieving the death of his own child, tries to atone by helping other parents of mutant children. He finds Jody and Eugene Scott, who are expecting, and warns them that their baby is marked for death. When Mallory arrives at the hospital with a large police force as Jody nears labor, Frank gets her out of the maternity ward, and the baby is delivered in a truck built for that purpose. They elude the people who are after them.
