- Screenwriter Alexander Borodyanski intended for workshop director Trunow to kill the traffic inspector Sykin at the end of the 1982 Soviet drama, but Nikita Mikhalkov, who played Trunow, was strictly against it, and the finale was rewritten without Borodyanski's involvement.
