Plot summary
Greta Johansson takes in her seventeen-year-old niece, Inga Frilund, after the girl's mother dies. Greta is scheming and in debt, and she means to make Inga the mistress of a rich older man so that the arrangement settles what she owes. Greta's own lover is Karl Nistad, a young writer. Inga and Karl fall for each other, which runs against her aunt's plan.

- Italy's Committee for the Theatrical Review of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage refused to approve the release of Joseph W. Sarno's Inga, citing immoral characters and numerous sexual scenes. In 1971 it was passed as VM18, but three scenes were ordered cut, including Inga masturbating and the Virgin ritual trial.
