Plot summary
The screen fills with fire, and Hell appears, a cavern built around a pit of flame. Bats fly through it, a spider swings above the fire until the flames pull it down, an alligator crawls into the pit, and a three-headed dog snarls. An orchestra of demons plays for Satan, using a saxophone, a spine and pelvis strung as a cello, and a pool of bubbling lava that one of them strikes with a spiked tail. A demon dances, hits the zigzag wall, and bends into its shape. Satan laughs, rings a bell, and servants squeeze a cow-like creature and bring him its milk, hot as fire, which he drinks at once.

The score uses classical pieces: Edvard Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King" plays as a demon kicks Satan off the cliff at the end, and Charles Gounod's "Funeral March of a Marionette", later the Alfred Hitchcock Presents theme, is also used.
