Happy New Year, Charlie Brown (1986) on Netflix

Plot summary

The other kids are happy about the Christmas break, but Charlie Brown dreads the book report his teacher assigned at the last minute on Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace. His friends are all going to Peppermint Patty's big New Year's party, and she keeps urging him to come along. He wants to be there, above all to dance with the Little Red-Haired Girl, and when he tries to invite her, his hand gets caught in the mail slot. Looking for another way to handle the report, he goes to a bookstore for an audiobook and a computer game of the novel, and finds neither.
