Plot summary
The Hádkovi have not been in one another's company for a long time. They come together at the deathbed of the family patriarch, a reunion that ought to be a joy but is full of pretense and social niceties. While the old man lies there, the family measures his apartment so that they can learn what it will be worth once his heart stops beating.
