Grounded: Making The Last of Us (2013) on Netflix

Plot summary

A feature-length account of how the video game The Last of Us came together, told with the people who built it. Musicians, programmers, artists, writers, actors, playtesters and filmmakers are among those on the project, along with one UI designer working alone, and they push one another to make something larger than any of them could manage separately. There is no road map or guide book for the work, and the team advances through repeated failure. The documentary follows the dogged development of the universally acclaimed game, the unique philosophy at work behind it, and the difficulties that come with exploring new territory.
