Plot summary

In a Japan occupied and colonized by aliens, Gintoki Sakata, Kagura and Shinpachi Shimura run an agency that takes whatever odd work comes its way. One night at a bridge, Kotaro Katsura, a friend of Gintoki's, is attacked by a ronin, and Elizabeth, his comrade, comes to the trio asking for help in finding him. Shinpachi and Kagura take up that search, while Gintoki is asked by the swordsmith Murata Tetsuya to recover the Benizakura, a cursed blade that was stolen and used in a string of murders. The assassin Nizo Okada, known to the trio as Nizo the Butcher, ambushes Shinpachi and Elizabeth. Kagura, with her pet Inugami Sadaharu, looks for hints of Katsura's whereabouts.
