Plot summary
Portal 31 is an underground tour in Lynch, Kentucky, in the mountains of Harlan County, one that carries visitors into a coal mine and back into the region's past. The Crypto Files travels there to learn more about the site and to examine the paranormal claims attached to it. Those claims center on the miners who once worked the mine and whether any trace of them remains. The team speaks with a local resident and with the man who directs the Portal 31 tour as it gathers accounts of what people have reported. This is the third entry in the Crypto Files series.
