Plot summary
Normad, a corrupt police superior, drove Rick Bode off the force, and Rick is trying to start over in Southern California. His former partner, Huck Finney, has been drinking since his wife was murdered, and he still blames Rick for moving on without him. One evening Rick performs a country ballad, "Shimmy Slide", at a bar; Huck heckles him from the crowd. Also listening is Cindy, a woman trying to leave a troubled past behind, and after the show the two talk and a romance begins, with horseback rides and quiet outings. Normad has risen since: he sits as a judge, and at night he leads a satanic cult whose worshipers conduct blood rituals while his men keep watch on Rick and Cindy.

- Champagne and Bullets was edited in 16 mm but never commercially released under that title; it was re-edited several times and put out as Road to Revenge and GetEven. The first video version runs 10 minutes shorter than the original, and the 2007 version added erotic scenes while removing several depictions of sexual assaults.
