Plot summary
Twenty-five years of photographs and films stand behind this collection, which looks at affluence, at youth culture, at gender and at body image. It follows a 2017 book and a photo exhibition that carry the same name. The portraits gathered from that work return to a focus on image over substance, and to the ever-increasing distance between the haves and the have-nots. People who are unable to attain actual wealth take on the trappings of it anyway, no matter their ability to pay for them. Those who appear in the film speak as themselves.
