Plot summary
The film gathers three stories said to be true. In "The Heptagon," college student Johnny Davis is shot dead when a phone prank sends him to the house of an old woman. At the funeral, his mother, Mrs. Davis, blames his friends Dave, Frank and Randy for the death and recites a message over them. "The Darkness" moves to rural Missouri, where a boy's dog vanishes near a hole in the ground that gives off moaning sounds, and the boy's father agrees to be lowered into it on a rope. In "The Girl on the Bridge," an Arkansas state senator driving home with his wife offers a ride to a disoriented girl he finds on a bridge.
