Plot summary
Michael Mitchell is a father who has already lost his wife to cancer when his son, Chase, is killed by gunfire during a drug deal that goes wrong. Investigators cannot establish which of the two shooters, Curtis "Durty Curt From Detroit" Craig or Raymond "Razor" Carver, fired the fatal shot, and because each man refuses to testify against the other, a jury can convict them only of drug possession, with release possible in two years. Michael cannot bear the thought that the death of his only child will go unpunished, and he sets out to reach the two men. He commits a violent crime so that he will be sentenced to the same prison where they are held.
