Plot summary

Dong-hee returns to Silla University from his army service, and Yoon So-eun is waiting at the school to meet him. She tells him that amateur radio is her hobby. Her friend Sun-mi is in the hospital with a broken leg, and So-eun confides that she loves Dong-hee. One night a call reaches her radio from Ji-in, a student at the same school. They plan to meet at the clock tower, but each waits at a different tower in different weather and they argue about it. Ji-in finds his radio working with its power plug pulled out. So-eun is in her junior year in 1979; Ji-in is a sophomore in 2000. As they talk, the two begin to confide in each other about their lives. She and Dong-hee begin dating.
