Plot summary
Frank Salazar, a bank robber from New Jersey, has been hiding from the law in a small town in western Montana. Seeing how much cash the local bank keeps, he sends for four former accomplices to help him take it: Nick Bartkowski, a safecracker; Max Green, who handles explosives; Ray Forgy, who steals cars; and Carlos Barrios, a lookout and weapons man. Two New Jersey detectives, George Denver and Bill Lonigan, arrest Salazar before the others arrive and take him east. He gets away from them and becomes lost in the Montana wilderness.
