Plot summary
Grandmother Wang once had money and now lives in a large mansion next to a reservoir people call Gwimot. Mrs. Kim, her only blood relative, brings in Bo-young to look after her. Bo-young takes the job with a dangerous intention of her own. The terms are laid out for her before she starts: she is not to bring anyone into the house, and children in particular are forbidden, and she is not to go near the reservoir. Bo-young notices odd and troubling signs in the mansion and around the reservoir, where people have been dying. She also learns that visitors from other countries who came to the place died in mysterious ways.
