Plot summary

A stroke left Jorge's father in need of care, and Jorge nurses him while working as a janitor and studying part-time toward a business degree. When Natalia, the girl he loved as a child, returns from studying abroad, he wants a better job, but employers see only his janitorial experience. Jorge's older brother Antonio is finishing a jail term and never got along with their father. In prison Antonio attends a theater workshop with Paula, a young woman jailed on drug charges who is harassed in jail and wants to become pregnant so she can be moved to the maternity ward. Antonio is sterile, and once he is out he gets Jorge to stand in for him during conjugal visits.
