Plot summary
Codename: Dragonfly is the picture Paul Ballard is editing in 1969: a futuristic adventure in which Valentine, an American discovered at a political rally, plays Dragonfly, a freelance agent whose spaceship sits above the Eiffel Tower. Andrezej, the director, is infatuated with Valentine. Paul also shoots a black-and-white documentary about his own life with his girlfriend Marlene, an Air France flight attendant who considers the project self-indulgent. The producer Enzo di Martini and his colleagues dislike Andrezej's ideas for the film's ending and dismiss him; after Felix DeMarco is tried in his place, they hand Paul the direction, with the ending as his main task. A final chase has been set in which Dragonfly confronts an unidentified figure in a tunnel alleyway, but nobody has decided who that figure is.
