Plot summary
In Madho's village the other villagers give him and his father Mohan no respect, because they are pig farmers of a low caste. Madho is a simple village boy with big dreams, and in an India of fast technological change he wants to look great and reach a high level of success. What he has not found is a way to get there. When he sees a foreigner who is respected because of an expensive coat, Madho decides that a coat of his own is what he needs. It costs more than he can afford, but he is determined to acquire one.
