Plot summary
Donald Duck is staying in a rustic winter cabin and gets out of bed to gather firewood. The small-topped tree he cuts down turns out to shelter Chip and Dale, two chipmunks, along with their stash of acorns. The trunk falls, the chipmunks spill out, but their acorns stay lodged inside it, and Donald carries the log back and sets it in the fireplace. Chip and Dale follow him to the cabin. While he hunts for matches, they try to pull their nuts free. Donald lights the log, and the two of them set to work putting out his fire and getting their store back.
