Plot summary

Ida is twelve. Her father, Klaus, is rushed to the hospital and found to have a serious illness, and the experimental operation that might help him is in the United States, which the family would have to pay for itself. Her mother, Maria, works at a bank, and Ida sees the bank as the only place the money can come from. With her friends Sebastian and Jonas she works out a plan to take 1.5 million DKK from the new headquarters of CCT Bank Europe. The vault hangs thirty meters above the ground, and the three have to get past combinations, guard dogs and watchmen and fool the bank manager along the way.
