Plot summary
Lechat, an unorthodox police inspector, is charming and jaded, and he is handed the case of Monsieur Richard, a wealthy entrepreneur found dead. Whether the death was suicide or something else is not clear, and a cheerful partner works the inquiry at his side. Suspicion settles on Madame Richard, the dead man's enchanting wife, who knew that her husband had a mistress. A second possibility is that a radical terrorist group killed the entrepreneur.
