Plot summary
Odile meets Franz in an English class, and she has told him of the money that Mr. Stolz keeps unlocked in the Joinville villa where she lives with her aunt Victoria. Franz brings the news to Arthur, whose uncle is pressing him for money, and the two decide to steal it. Franz and Arthur sit in on the class, where Arthur questions Odile about the cash, and she finds the notes in Stolz's room. The pair copy the mannerisms of American movie tough guys.
