Browncoats: Independence War (2015) on Netflix

Plot summary

The year is 2511 on the distant planet Hera, where rebel fighters called the Independence Army are pressing a bid for secession against an enemy that is better supplied. An early victory leaves the soldiers of the 5th Battalion, part of the 76th Combat Brigade, hopeful that their claim to self-governance can be recognized, while their commanders are not. In a lull between skirmishes, the troops rest and get ready for the next day of fighting. Word arrives that a group of civilians is stranded, and squads of the battalion are sent to bring the refugees out of the valley and over the mountain passes before the enemy offensive can reach them.
