Plot summary
The woman known as Sister Kate walked away from a corporate career and a bad marriage and became a cannabis farmer. She calls herself a nun and founded Sisters of the Valley. With a commune of activist nuns she grows marijuana in Merced County, California. The crop becomes medicine that the group says treats conditions ranging from epilepsy to cancer. The sisters want the farm accepted as legitimate. County authorities, the sheriff and local cartels stand against them as they make their case.
