Plot summary
A photographer, Glen Cannon, learns that his uncle Thomas has left him Falconroc Castle in Arizona, and he drives out with his fiancée, the model Liz Arden, meaning to settle there. They find Count Charles Townsend and his wife already installed; the Count explains that he took over the lease when his father died, and the pair, refined and well dressed, have been in the house for more than sixty years. When the Count asks whether Glen would sell, Glen declines, since Liz is looking forward to living in the castle. The Townsends are vampires with no wish to move: their butler George, saved from hanging after a conviction for ritual sacrifice to Luna, keeps young women chained in the cellar and draws their blood, and the strongman Mango catches them.
