Plot summary
Bellingcat is a collective of citizen journalists from different countries who work together online, and Eliot is its de facto leader. Using digital research methods on openly available material, the group investigates events reported in the news. Its cases include the crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 and the Skripal poisoning. A documentary about this work was screened at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam in 2018 and at the Human Rights Watch Film Festival in 2019. It won the RTBF award at the festival des Liberétes and an International Emmy Award in the documentary category in 2019.
