Plot summary
Imagine Dragons' lead singer Dan Reynolds belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The documentary centers on the treatment of LGBTQ members in his church and on the rising suicide rate among teenagers in Utah. His concern over church policies leads him to organize the LOVELOUD Festival in Orem, Utah, a concert in support of LGBTQ youth in the state. Ten days before the 2017 festival, the church releases a statement supporting efforts toward an inclusive community. Reynolds also writes two songs for the film, which includes scenes shot in Salt Lake City, Orem, New York City and Las Vegas.
