Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Director Choi Yoon-tae was inspired to write Baseball Girl in 2017 after watching an interview with a female baseball player, and he was struck that no rule bans women from playing on a professional baseball team.
- Principal photography ran from January to February 2019, months when baseball players normally cannot train because of the cold weather, which made filming harder on top of the film's small budget.
