Plot summary
Dagmar works at a gas station and cannot keep up with her debts; she also loses her flat. Lippo spent fifteen years helping his boss run a betting shop, and then he is fired. Karl earns what he can as a car mechanic and by selling water filters, and he is deeply in debt. Rizzo, Karl's odd friend, is unhappy about standing apart from everyone else. Their stories meet at an isolated gas station in rural Carinthia, where a stolen gun and a bag of money set off a chain of reckless decisions, and three car crashes follow over three days.
