Plot summary
Liza's world is one of minimalistic interiors, where feelings are held back. Her husband Petr owns a chocolate factory and speaks Russian with a German accent. Their countryside house holds no children, only greyhound dogs. Liza keeps a secret from her past: she gave up her child at birth and has spent twenty-three years searching for that daughter. Her search brings her to a teenage girl she believes was left at an orphanage. Liza watches the girl and works her way into her life. Nearby is a burnt room, and Ulya, a teenager, holds its keys.
