Plot summary
The Alps are a natural landscape in the heart of Europe and home to 13 million people across eight countries, whose languages, dialects and ways of life show the region's cultural variety. The region faces rural exodus and overtourism at the same time, and climate change is especially noticeable in the mountains. The journey visits mountain farms in Austria, manufactories in the Italian village of Premana, and winter sports centers such as Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria and Méribel in France. Tourism brings jobs while consuming nature, and traffic cuts through the Alpine valleys.
