Plot summary
Rahul Jaykar's singing career is fading because of his drinking, and a stage show in Goa goes wrong when Aryan interrupts him mid-song. Rahul fights him, walks off and drives to a bar. There he hears Aarohi Keshav Shirke, a bar singer who idolizes him, studying a photograph of Lata Mangeshkar. Taking her for an aspiring singer, he is impressed by her voice, tells her to stop performing in bars and promises to make her a sensation. She gives up the job and moves to Mumbai with him, where he presses the record producer Saigal to meet her. When she telephones him, thugs are attacking him and he cannot answer; his friend and manager Vivek keeps the assault quiet and lets it be reported that Rahul has gone abroad for stage shows.
