A Swedish Love Story (1970) on Netflix

Plot summary

Two generations in late 1960s Stockholm move through the same story. Pär and Annika are teenagers who come across each other by chance, look for a connection, and begin a romance cautiously. The romance unfolds over the summer; caught up in each other, they pay little attention to what surrounds them. The adults around the pair are cynical and disapproving, and dismiss the attachment as young love and nothing more. The parental generation, by contrast, is struggling with its own life; Annika's parents, for all their material prosperity, are unhappy with the shape their lives have taken, and a sense of aimlessness runs through the older generation.
