Plot summary
Bob Anderson is away on a business trip when his wife of 27 years, Darcy, goes into their garage to look for batteries. Rummaging through his belongings, she comes upon pornographic magazines with sadomasochistic images and then, behind a baseboard, a concealed space holding a small box. Inside are identification cards belonging to Marjorie Duvall, one of the victims of the serial killer Beadie. Alarmed, Darcy looks up Beadie online and compares the murder locations with Bob's business records, which place him near most of them. A photograph of Duvall also shows her wearing earrings matching a pair Bob gave Darcy as an anniversary gift.
