Plot summary
Cory Weissman's plan is simple: keep playing basketball. A 1,000-point scorer in high school, he comes to Gettysburg College expecting to take over as point guard. During his college years he suffers an AVM stroke that paralyzes his left side, and Pops, his teammate and closest friend, gets him to the athletic training room in time; that response saves his life. His therapy moves slowly, and his mother Tina, a physical therapist, is with him through it, along with his coach and teammates. The prognosis for his brain damage is grim, and he is left to cope with his disability and to ask why this happened to him.
