Plot summary
For the first time in three years, Ira and Peggy Stuckman gather their family for a Passover Seder. Before the Seder, their son Zeke, a high school student with a taste for recreational drugs, slips his father a pill he believes will open Ira's mind. Ira's eldest son, Ethan, turned Hasidic after his business ventures failed; Nikki works as a sex surrogate; the youngest, Lionel, has autism and a fixation on the number 7. Cousin Vanessa, a celebrity publicist, and Jennifer, his eldest daughter from a previous marriage, join the table, along with Jennifer's girlfriend Grace, at her first Seder. Artur, Ira's father and a Holocaust survivor, keeps a suitcase packed, and Rafi, a one-eyed Israeli tent builder, is also invited.
