Plot summary
In a small town in southeastern Turkey in 1974, Nazmi is the mayor and Latif runs the only cinema, which shows the same film again and again. Nazmi opposes Latif's activities and seeks to break his monopoly on entertainment by bringing in the first television, which the locals call Vizontele. The team sent to deliver the set leaves in a hurry, and the villagers do not know how to set it up. Nazmi recruits members of his staff and Emin, the repairman the town considers eccentric, to set up a transmitter.
