Plot summary
A failed chase lets Professor Kurian Fernandez and his cellmate Raghu get away, and the officials draw up plans to capture the two. They think Fernandez will head to Bangalore and try to meet Gaadha, his only daughter, so Kerala Police inspectors Unnikrishnan and Purushothaman Nair are sent to watch her there. Unnikrishnan meets Peter, a college mate who is now an inspector with the Karnataka Police; the two join forces and push Purushothaman aside, since he cannot follow Kannada. The team keeps watch from an apartment facing Gaadha's. Gaadha writes copy at an advertisement agency and lives as a paying guest of Maggie aunty. Unnikrishnan, drawn more to drink and cards than to the case, grows fond of Gaadha and tries to win her over.
