Plot summary
In December 2021, insect-like aliens called the Balangs have overrun the Philippines, and bands of survivors scavenge the ruined landscape for anything that can be recycled. Colonel Crisval Sarmiento, an ex-military officer, leads one such group. What they gather goes to Paraiso, the sanctuary where they live, and its location has to stay secret. The Balangs are not the only enemy: mutated humans called the Mutanos have sided with the invaders. The survivors are also in a race against time, gathering what they need, fighting to eliminate the Balangs and their collaborators, and seeking the truth behind the invasion.
