Plot summary
Oki works at a factory that has not paid its staff for six years, and he is the union leader there. The workers decide to lie down on the driveway in front of the plant. Oki's son Gruja is a film director who has had no work in ten years; he films weddings and funerals to survive and to save for a feature of his own. His girlfriend Bela sings opera, has no job either, and earns money by performing arias from house to house. The factories around them are ruined, and the workers have nobody to lead them toward something better.
