Plot summary
Josephine's family estate on Shelter Island, New York, is where her relatives and the members of the wedding party spend the time before the ceremony with the groom, Charlie. Charlie gets cold feet as the wedding nears and looks for ways to throw the plans off track, trying one tactic after another. Among his schemes is an attempt to rekindle the relationship between Josephine and the man she was with before him.
